The Sleek Romper

Hey loves!

Romper: Tobi | Boots: River Island

After a busy week at work I'm finally taking the time to write a blog post on this lovely Saturday featuring my sleek, navy romper c/o TOBI. If you are anything like me, you are a crazy online shopper that is always scouring her favorite websites to see what new merch they have. Tobi is one of my first destinations. I love this site! TOBI's clothes are super cute and affordable, and for FIRST TIME SHOPPERS you get 50% OFF! Plus they usually have good discounts on their new arrivals as well. Needless to say, I frequent this site quite a bit :P

Most of the rompers I own tend to lean towards boho, so when I cam across this piece on the TOBI website I was so excited! It's always a thrill to get a piece that is different from most of the other things in your wardrobe! What I especially love about this TOBI romper is the asymmetrical hemline. It created a cool, structured element to the look that I think it otherwise wouldn't have. Also, it kind of reminds me of a school girl skort, and I definitely love those!

Now for the color choice. This romper also comes in grey, but with all the neutrals I have in my closet I decided I wanted to go with navy!

Navy is definitely a staple color for your wardrobe - from sailor stripes to this little number, navy never fails. I love pairing navy with different neutrals - like tan and beige, so for my shoes I decided to go with my fave over the knee boots from River Island.

These  over the knee boots are my obsession! They look super similar to the Stuart Weitzman Highland's, which are gorgeous but around $700 (eek!) so I found these beauties that look super similar and are a fraction of the cost! Shop them HERE.

hope you like xoxo

Neutrals X Tobi

Hi guys!

Sorry it's been a millionnn years since I wrote my last blog post! It's been a busy time for me! Both exciting and stressful. Anyways, today I am writing a post featuring my new white cropped sweater from Tobi! I am so excited to collaborate with this brand because I absolutely love their fun, flirty, and fearless fashion. As you guys probably know, I am a major fan of crop tops, and I am always looking for more pieces to add to my collection! (P.S. FIRST TIME SHOPPERS AT TOBI GET 50% OFF! HEC YES!)

This top seemed like the perfect addition to my little crop family for a number of reasons. First, I loved the ribbed detailing, it adds a more textured feeling to the look. Second, I love the fact that this little piece is 3/4 sleeved! Even though it's a crop, it doesn't mean it can't keep you cozy! Last, I love a good white shirt. This piece is perfect for neutral outfits and simple color palettes. Can't go wrong with white!

So after falling in love with this adorable top from Tobi, this is how I decided to style it:

Top: Tobi | Jeans: Genetic | Jacket (similar): Maje | Shoes: Maiden Lane | Bag (similar): Marc by Marc Jacobs

I wanted to go for a more chic, sophisticated look with this top, but it can definitely be styled more casually with a cute pair of shorts, a flannel, and some sneaks. (Gotta love that versatility!)

For the bottoms paired with this top, I decided to go with my distressed skinnies from Genetic Denim. Distressed denim is soooo in, guys! And I honestly can't foresee it going out of style any time soon. I love distressed denim because it gives any look an edginess that it otherwise would not have had. However, if you aren't a fan of holes in your denim, fear not! This look would still work with regular skinnies as well. But if you feel like being a little daring with your look, I highly recommend getting some distressed skinnies!

To continue to amp up the look, instead of keeping it on the more casual side, I thought I would pair the top and distressed jeans with a pair of two-piece, suede heeled sandals from Gilt by Maiden Lane. Wearing heels with denim definitely adds a level of sophistication to the look, but if you're not a big fan of wearing heeled sandals a killer pair of ankle boots could do the trick as well!

keeping with the neutral palette I have so far created for this look, I wanted to add outerwear and a handbag to tie it all in. These choices came easily for me! One of my absolute favorite thrift finds of all time was this gorgeous Maje leather jacket I spotted at Wasteland on Melrose. Now this beauty is usually way out of my price rang, but I am an avid thrifter, and love coming across specialty pieces like this! A well-made leather jacket is a great investment - timeless and long lasting. If you don't have a neutral leather or faux-leather piece such as this, an extra-long cardigan or blazer could also be worn. And last but not least, this leather jacket matches perfectly with my neutral handbag from Marc by Marc Jacobs

Hope you enjoy! xoxo

Welcoming Winter

Hello loves!

Welcoming winter to Los Angeles today with a cozy, layered look. I get hot/cold very easily, so layers are the perfect way for me to bundle up for winter weather without getting over-heated once I'm in a warm place! I can shed off different pieces for a simpler look, and when it's time to brave the cold again I throw them back on!

Sweater: (similar) Free People | Skirt: Brandy Melville | Jacket: Delias | Boots: River Island

One of my favorite aspects of the winter months are KNITS. I swear I have more sweaters and cardigans than I could possibly handle, but I love the feel and look of knitwear- plus it keeps you so warm and cozy! Today I decided to wear one of my favorite oversized sweaters from Free People. I am SO obsessed with this thing (and it was SO on sale at Bloomies) I got it in three colors! (cream, pale blue, and burgundy). Oversized sweaters can sometimes swallow you up, but if you style them with the right pieces it creates an ease and freshness to an outfit that I absolutely adore.

For this particular look I styled the sweater with one of my rib-knit, fitted skirts from Brandy Melville. I decided to pair it with this skirt for a number of reasons:

1. I wanted the skirt to just barely peek out from underneath my sweater.

2. I wanted to make sure the skirt was not too flowy or flared.

3. and lastly, I wanted the color and texture of the skirt to be as cozy and winter-friendly as the sweater.

I also have this skirt in black, but I felt with the white coat, pale blue sweater, and tan boots that a muted grey would be the best option!

The pea-coat was a no-brainer for me today - the chilly weather finally made an appearance in LA!! I absolutely love wearing pea-coats, and the creamy white of this coat went perfectly with the pastel of the sweater and muted tones of the skirt.

And lastly, for shoes, I went with my absolute favorite pair of over-the-knee boots from River Island. These boots are my OBSESSION. I seriously cannot get enough of them! They add a level of sophistication and flare to every outfit, and the neutral color makes it easy to mix and match!
