Two-Tone Denim

Hey Babes!

I have been on the hunt for a pair of two-tone jeans for over a month now! And I finally found a great pair at an amazing price. A lot of brands are charging over $300 for a pair like this, and I found these at American Eagle for $29.99!!!

I love the uniqueness of these two-tone jeans, they give a classic look of a blouse and jeans a whole new spin! They're also high-waisted - always a plus when you want to make your legs look longer (for short ladies like me!) or when you want to rock a crop top with jeans without lookin' like you're straight out of 2002 :P

For this look I decided to go chic, but these jeans would also look amazing in a more casual look. You could pair them with adidas and a vintage tee and a cardi and there you go, you would be ready for your day! Be on the lookout for this type of look from me soon!

I knew I wanted to pair these jeans with a delicate blouse, so I chose this lovely ruffle tie-neck piece from Mango. Ruffles are IN IN IN right now, and the bigger the better, so if you want to amp up your look bring on the ruffles!

To complete the look I paired my classic black leather jacket that I thrifted in London with my suede black heels from Via Spiga and a sleek two-tone bag from Macys. When in doubt, go classic!

I have linked these items above and below as well as some similar styles!

The Tie-Neck Dress: 3 Ways

Hey loves!

Happy Sunday! Today I wanted to do a blog post that shares multiple ways to style the same piece! I love versatile items that can be dressed up or down, and this tie-neck dress from TOBI is the perfect example!

I adore this dress! The soft pink tones, the flowy sleeves, and the tie at the neck make for a chic, put together ensemble. The only thing you need to do to this piece is accessorize! And it's amazing how your accessories and shoes can change the tone of an outfit.

For this post I wanted to show you three ways to wear this look: Casual, Edgy, and Classic.

For the casual look, I decided to go with spring colors to keep it easy and light. By pairing the dress with a denim jacket and sneakers, it dresses the look down, which makes it perfect for a daytime style. The dress is still the star of the show, but with these accessories it is easy to wear this look all day long and if you want to transition to night, just switch out the jacket and shoes!

For the edgy look, I thought it would be fun to go darker and pair the dress with my black leather jacket and black boots. I love that the color of this dress works well with both tans and blacks, which makes it super easy to switch up the look you are going for! I tend you wear darker colors when going more edgy, and the soft pink looks great with black. Add some dark lipstick and you are ready for a night out!

And lastly, for the classic look, I decided to let the dress stand for itself and add my favorite over-the-knee boots and tan Marc by Marc Jacobs bag to complete the simple, classic look.

Hope you enjoyed seeing these three ways to style this dress! xoxo

Welcoming Winter

Hello loves!

Welcoming winter to Los Angeles today with a cozy, layered look. I get hot/cold very easily, so layers are the perfect way for me to bundle up for winter weather without getting over-heated once I'm in a warm place! I can shed off different pieces for a simpler look, and when it's time to brave the cold again I throw them back on!

One of my favorite aspects of the winter months are KNITS. I swear I have more sweaters and cardigans than I could possibly handle, but I love the feel and look of knitwear- plus it keeps you so warm and cozy! Today I decided to wear one of my favorite oversized sweaters from Free People. I am SO obsessed with this thing (and it was SO on sale at Bloomies) I got it in three colors! (cream, pale blue, and burgundy). Oversized sweaters can sometimes swallow you up, but if you style them with the right pieces it creates an ease and freshness to an outfit that I absolutely adore.

For this particular look I styled the sweater with one of my rib-knit, fitted skirts from Brandy Melville. I decided to pair it with this skirt for a number of reasons:

1. I wanted the skirt to just barely peek out from underneath my sweater.

2. I wanted to make sure the skirt was not too flowy or flared.

3. and lastly, I wanted the color and texture of the skirt to be as cozy and winter-friendly as the sweater.

I also have this skirt in black, but I felt with the white coat, pale blue sweater, and tan boots that a muted grey would be the best option!

The pea-coat was a no-brainer for me today - the chilly weather finally made an appearance in LA!! I absolutely love wearing pea-coats, and the creamy white of this coat went perfectly with the pastel of the sweater and muted tones of the skirt.

And lastly, for shoes, I went with my absolute favorite pair of over-the-knee boots from River Island. These boots are my OBSESSION. I seriously cannot get enough of them! They add a level of sophistication and flare to every outfit, and the neutral color makes it easy to mix and match!
