The Cozy Crop

I don't know what it is about crop tops, but I can't seem to get enough of them! Whether they're frilly little numbers from Brandy Melville, or snuggle-ready knits from Shein, they always seem to give me the look I'm going for! As a teeny human (5'3"...okay let's be honest, 5'2") I tend to get swallowed up in lots of fabric, so perhaps that's what draws me to the crop. Either way, I LIVE in them.

Today I am wearing the coziest crop c/o Shein. I am so in love with this piece! Expect to see it a million times over...I tend to wear my favorite pieces till they fall apart! I love the feel and cut of this cropped sweater. I can wear it with almost any of my high-waisted bottoms (and let's be real, I have A LOT of them...maybe I was meant to live in the 70's?!) I've worn it with one of my favorite pairs of Topshop jeans, and today I decided to pair this cozy knit with one of my beloved tennis skirts from American Apparel. I have this tennis skirt in three colors, and I think I might just have to splurge and get another one!

I decided to pair the crop sweater with this tennis skirt because I loved the color palette the two pieces created -- a nice, muted grey scale. As a lover of tights, I had to throw on my Assets from Target (of course they have a rip in them...I tend to destroy all my tights!). And for my shoes? Can't go wrong with my trusty Kourtlan Booties from Zigi Soho! (they're sold out at the moment, but don't fret! I found these amazing booties when they were sold out and kept checking back in and alas, they reappeared!) These booties are one of the MOST comfortable pair of shoes I own, and they match with pretty much everything - a must have!

Over the Knee

Happy Sunday loves!

Exploring DTLA today in my absolute favorite OTK boots from River Island! I have been on the hunt for a pair like this for what seems like forever, and I could not be happier with the fit and style of these boots!

Boots: River Island | Dress: (similar) Skies are Blue | Faux-fur Vest: Skies are Blue | Watch: Daniel Wellington // use my code "dressmelikethat" to save 15% at Daniel Wellington

They are the perfect length (I'm a shorty at 5'2" and often worry that with over the knee boots they can end up becoming thigh high boots on me! :P ) so the moment I slipped these beauties on I knew they were the perfect match. I am so obsessed with these boots I might have to splurge and get them in black as well...but I must say the neutral color of these shoes is one of my favorite aspects about them. I can wear them with pretty much any color and any type of outfit: fancy or casual, pants or skirts, it all works!

For the rest of this look I partnered with Skies are Blue and wore their gorgeous waist-tie floral dress and two-tone faux-fur vest! I love the colors of the vest and how they tie the look together with the boots! And you all know me, I love me some florals! Can't go wrong with a classic floral dress as the main piece of the ensemble.

The Leather Jacket

I can't begin to express my excitement when I found this Maje leather jacket while thrifting at Wasteland (on Melrose).

Jacket: Maje | Flannel: H&M | Top: Tobi | Skirt: Brandy Melville | Shoes: Zigi Soho

These gorgeous jackets are usually waaaay above my price range, but this beauty was such a good deal I couldn't help but go for it (despite it being a size too big!) I've been on the hunt for a jacket this color, and I am so glad it was added into my wardrobe! The neutral tone of the jacket lifts up the overall look of the outfit, which is exactly what I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I love the whole black on black on black look, but I wanted to brighten this ensemble up a bit, so I threw this gorgeous jacket over my shoulders!

The rest of the look is pretty simple and my usual go to's. I cant help but wear white tops of all different styles almost 24/7. This one is from Tobi - I love the lightweight airiness of this top, I could wear it with everything (And I almost do!) For the skirt I went with my ribbed knit grey mini from Brandy Melville. I loved this simple piece so much I had to get it in black too! Lastly, I decided to add an extra layer (you know me, I love me some layers!) by throwing on my blue and plaid button down from H&M. Oh, and let's not forget my trusty boots from Zigi Soho
